FAITH, LOVE, AND LOVAGE.

Today I’d like to dedicate the blog to the talented and prolific Mr. Mike Patton. The doe-eyed crooner led Faith No More into world domination when he replaced Chuck Mosely in the late eighties. (Trivia tidbit: Courtney Love also once fronted the band). Faith No More had their time of glory, but after their dissolution in the nineties, Patton went on to display his range and versatility with a million and a half other projects. Continuing with Mr. Bungle (the band to which he belonged prior to and during Faith No More), and also participating in Fantomas (with ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, Melvins guitarist Buzz Osbourne, Mr. Bungle bassist Trevor Dunn) and my personal favorite, Tomahawk (which includes former Jesus Lizard/Hank Williams III guitarist Duane Denison, former Mark of Cain/Helmet drummer John Stanier, and Melvins bassist Kevin Rutmanis). But enough incredibly tedious background info. Ok one more bit, he’s a huge Laker fan which is the only thing I talked to him about when I had the pleasure of meeting him. So instead of asking him about his prolific music career, I talked to him about Robert Horry’s game winning three pointer in game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals (lucky bastard, Patton was at that game). Anyway, here are some super fun music videos:
