Alanna, Ivy, and I went to the opening of a new fancy Korean BBQ spot in Hollywood called Shin the other night. The place has some celebrity investors so there were quite a few Perez Hilton regulars there, but the most interesting encounter I had was with this lovely woman:

Rose Apodaca is fairly amazing. She’s a brilliant style writer who regularly contributes to magazines like Elle, Harper’s, Paper, Preen, and Glamour. She helped launch the new Los Angeles Times Style section and wrote Rachel Zoe’s book, Style A to Zoe. She co-owns Beauty Bar, as well as the fantastic A+R design stores (in Silverlake and Venice).
